The CAVS 13U made a huge statement in winning the 16th Annual CAVS Summer Classic. This young team continues to improve and make a case for being considered one of the best 13U teams around. The CAVS were only challenged once in the semifinal against the Jaguars. The zone defense of the Jaguars didn't allow the CAVS to drive to the basket, and forced them to be patient on offense. Antwon Johnson and Chris Yanku setup the offense which allowed Justin Eisen and Bear Henderson to hit big outside shots and pull out the close win. In the championship game the CAVS faced the ACES; a team that is looked upon as one of the top 13U teams around. The CAVS came out on a mission. They never trailed the entire game. The ACES were never able to recover from the 13-0 deficit at the start of the game. Chris Yanku, Antwon Johnson, Nick Holland and Justin Eisen all stood out, but this was a complete team effort.
